Standard return shipping within the contiguous United States is included with each service. Cocoon Care covers up to 1,000 harvested cocoons; each reed-harvesting service covers up to 250 filled reeds.

IMPORTANT — REEDS ONLY

Our harvesting services accept Mason bee reeds only.

We do not accept bamboo tubes, paper straws or paper tubes, wooden laminates, wooden trays, solid wooden blocks, or other non-reed nesting systems.

USED REEDS WILL NOT BE RETURNED

The reeds you send to us are considered part of the harvesting process and will not be returned. After the cocoons are removed, the used reeds will be discarded.

During processing, we will inspect the cocoons and separate the viable bees from material that should not be returned.

We will discard:

  • Deceased or non-viable cocoons
  • Parasitized cocoons
  • Obviously damaged or failed cocoons
  • Other unusable nesting debris or material

What you will receive back are the viable Mason bee cocoons that remain after harvesting, cleaning and inspection.

Because Mason bees are living organisms and some losses may already be present inside the reeds when they arrive, the number of viable cocoons returned may be lower than the number of occupied nest cells originally sent.

After purchase, we will provide the shipping address, packaging instructions, order-number instructions and what information to include in the package. OWNER MUST ADD SHIPPING ADDRESS.

Season Deadline: Bees must be received by January 31, 2027. Harvesting services accept Mason bee reeds only.

Mason bees are living organisms. Natural mortality, failed development, mites, mold, parasites and moisture damage may already exist before we receive them. Cleaning and visible inspection do not guarantee survival or emergence. We use reasonable care while handling your shipment. You are responsible for safely packaging incoming shipments; we are not responsible for carrier loss or damage before delivery to us. Quantity limits apply, and extra material may require another service purchase or additional payment. Bee health observations are educational and are not laboratory diagnoses.
